When was Frankenstein set?
I was always under the impression that Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein was set primarily between 1815 and 1818, but recently I found out that the university of Ingolstadt (the university Victor Frankenstein was attending in the book) was closed in 1800, 18 years before the novel was written.
Could anyone help me out as to when it was set?
